GAURAV SRIVASTAVA - A BUDDING STAR

Gaurav Srivastava, a student of IX-G at DPSSL is an extremely talented Tabla player. He has been learning Tabla from a very young age of five. What started as a hobby for Gaurav has now become his passion, having participated in various national and international Tabla competitions at Singapore, Dubai, Pune, Jalandhar and Delhi.

Recently he has won numerous accolades for his Solo, Duet and Group performances.
Gaurav won Silver at the Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts 2019, Singapore conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh (A.B.S.S.), UNESCO’s cultural partner. He also received the Chairman’s Award for his Solo performance at the same competition held in Dubai in 2018.
Nationally, Gaurav has won Gold for his Group performance at ABSS, Pune 2018 followed by Silver for Solo and Gold for Duet performances in ABSS, Pune 2019 competing against more than 100 Tabla players from all over India.

He has also been nominated to participate at the prestigious Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts to be held at Paris this year.
