The tiny toddlers of DPS, Sushant Lok welcomed the season of spring by marking the 4th of February as Basant Panchami, which is also the birthday of Goddess Saraswati known for knowledge, music and arts. This day also marks the harvest of agricultural fields with ripening of yellow flowers of the mustard crop. Students and teachers adorned the yellow clothes and did an array of activities to celebrate the day. It began with Saraswati Vandana from Saksham’s Pooja Room followed by a beautiful story and the session culminated with a beautiful song at the onset of spring season. The celebration of this auspicious occasion gave the little ones an exposure of how changes in different seasons can be felt, seen and heard.
