The Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok presented the ‘Third Language Assembly-Swa Will Ven?’— ???????? (Swagatham in Sanskrit), Willkommen (German), Bienvenue (French), ????(Y?koso in Japanese) on 22nd January 2025. The students of Classes IV and V showcased their proficiency in learning various foreign languages. The main objective of the Language Assembly was to foster multilingualism, highlight its advantages, and talk about the origin and importance of the various languages taught in school.
The students of the four different languages, Sanskrit, Japanese, German and French, presented vibrant dances and meaningful skits, in addition to Sanskrit shlokas, a French song, and discussions on famous German personalities and French food. This celebration of culture and languages culminated with the beautiful song, We are the World.
The Principal, Ms Tejaswini Katdare, mentioned the importance and benefits of multilingualism and understanding the culture and traditions of various countries. Junior school Headmistress, Ms. Ruchi Kathpalia, and Vice Principal Ms. Anindita Paul also appreciated the children’s confidence and dedication.
