Delhi Public School Sushant Lok, Gurugram, celebrated its 20 years of excellence with a mesmerizing musical production, Samrat Ashoka: Journey from a Warrior to a Peacemaker, on 7th December 2024, featuring 1,006 talented students.
The grand event was graced by Chief Guest Shri N.K. Singh, IAS (Batch of 1964), the School’s Founder Patron, who highlighted the importance of transformation and commended the school for its thoughtful tribute to India’s rich legacy through the iconic play. Ms. Meenakshi Singh, Pro Vice Chairperson, along with several eminent guests, principals, and parents, enriched the celebration with their presence.
The evening began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by enthralling cultural performances, including a symphonic orchestra, a primary dance recital, and a thought-provoking speech by a student on integrating AI into education. The launch of Odyssey of Success, a commemorative Coffee Table Book, added to the occasion’s grandeur.
The pinnacle of the celebration, Samrat Ashoka, authored and directed by Mr. Atul Satya Kaushik, dramatized the emperor’s transformative journey from conqueror to a symbol of peace, leaving the audience inspired by its profound message of unity and compassion. The event concluded with resounding applause, marking a fitting tribute to two decades of excellence.
