Students of Grades II to V participated in a variety of activities on 15.10.24 as part of the “Jagrit Hum” activity to mark, World Mental Health Day.
Students of Grade II learnt about Good Habits and Bad Habits for good mental health through informative videos. Grade III students expressed their feelings and emotions by way of art with My Garden of Feeling that gave them an outlet to share and recognize their emotions.
Students of Grade IV and V attended a workshop on Anger-Awareness and Management. The School Counsellor Ms. Simran conducted the workshop, taking the students through an interactive and informative presentation on understanding anger, identifying anger triggers, coping strategies and promoting emotional intelligence.
A video showing the mind with its various emotions and group activities like sharing their anger triggers with peers, helped the students freely express their feelings. The ABCDE (Awareness, Breathing, Counting, Distance, Express yourself) of coping with anger was shared with the students.
The anger management workshop was a success, with students actively participating and demonstrating a growing understanding of their emotions.
