On 20 December 2022, Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok-Gurugram celebrated the proud privilege of enjoying an hour-long inspirational Talk Show with Shri N.K. Singh, a prominent Indian economist, academician and policy maker; President, Institute of Economic Growth; and Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission, India.
A recurring guest lecturer at Columbia, Yale, Stanford and London School of Economics, Shri. Singh candidly demystified his autobiographical edition of Portraits of Power: Half a Century of Being at Ringside and lucidly talked about his personal anecdotes that lent themselves to gain insights into national movements. His life’s work, as chronicled in the book gave more meaning to the audience as he intertwined them with the progress India has made. Students of grades XI and XII in attendance were awe-inspired by his magnetic aura of intellect and inspiration.

His active contribution that shaped momentous decisions—whether through the use of diplomacy or the rigors of understanding the mechanism of the levers of power or by consensus building gave them a reason to delve deep into the dynamics of India’s socioeconomic history.
