Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok organized its Annual Scholar Badge Ceremony for classes VI and VIII on 29 October 2022. The Scholar Badge ceremony is an integral tradition of the DPS Fraternity, instituted to recognize students for their scholastic as well as co-scholastic excellence.
The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Captain Indu Boken, District Education Officer, Gurugram. The function commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Celebrating the students’ perseverance, dedication and success, the school dance group presented a dance recital on Ganesh Vandana. Scholar badges were awarded to meritorious students for their accomplishments not just in academics but also in various Interschool competitions and Olympiads. The budding innovators of the school were celebrated through the ‘Innovation Award’ category.
Principal Mr. Surender Pal Sachdeva, while congratulating the recipients of the scholar badge emphasized the significance of the 3H’s(Hardwork, humility and honesty). After the Award Distribution Ceremony, the Chief Guest, Captain Indu Boken, addressed the students as ‘Super achievers’ and underscored the importance of ‘Smart work over hard work’.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Senior Head Mistress, Ms. Renuka Bhasin, wherein she applauded the collective efforts of the parents, teachers and students in making this a memorable occasion.
