Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India on 22 January 2026 with great patriotic fervour and solemn pride. The school campus resonated with a spirit of unity,dedication and national pride as students, staff and faculty members came together to commemorate thissignificant occasion.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the school’s Director–Principal,Ms. Mahua Das Gupta, along with Vice Principal, Capt. Rekha Kapoor, Ms. Leena Singhal, Vice Principal (Junior School) and the respected section heads. This was followed by the National Anthem,instilling a deep sense of respect and reverence among all present. Addressing the gathering, Vice Principal Capt. Rekha Kapoor highlighted the importance of the Indian Constitution and its unique features namely Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic as enshrined in the Preamble. She inspired the students to uphold the ideals of responsibility,perseverance and self-reliance, values that form the foundation of both the nation and the school.The Vice Head Boy, Raghav Rao, and Vice Head Girl, Sargun Singh, addressed the gathering with thoughtful reflections on the significance of Republic Day and the responsibilities of young citizens. The celebration was further enriched by vibrant cultural performances, including classical dances,patriotic songs and a dignified Guard of Honour, beautifully showcasing India’s unity in diversity.The programme concluded with a message emphasising collective effort in building a strong and progressive nation.
