Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurugram successfully concluded the Maharaj Hari Singh Memorial Annual Football Tournament 5.0, held from 10 to 13 December 2025, witnessing the spirited participation of over 35 teams in an action-packed four-day celebration of school football.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Abhijeet Singh, a distinguished professional and grandson of Maharaj Hari Singh, whose inspiring presence added immense prestige to the occasion. The event was further honoured by Ms. Meenakshi Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Sushant Lok whose leadership continues to steer the institution towards excellence.
The ceremony welcomed eminent guests including Ms. Priyanka Tandon, Centre Head, Apple Blossom School, Mr. Jagdish Ahlawat (Addl. Education Officer, Gurugram), Mr. Bikramjit Singh (renowned Football Mentor) and Mr. Rohit Kumar (accomplished Football Coach).
In the Girls’ Category Finals, Modern School, Vasant Vihar emerged as winners, with DPS Kangra finishing as runners-up and Lotus Valley International School securing third place. In the Boys’ Category Finals, DPS Vasant Kunj claimed the winners’ trophy, followed by DPS Sushant Lok as runners-up and The Tribhuvan School taking third place after a spirited performance.Individual excellence was duly recognised with special honours. The Golden Boot (Boys) was awarded to Shaurya Prakash Jha of DPS Sushant Lok for an outstanding tally of seven goals, while the Golden Boot (Girls) went to Hyma Pathak of Modern School, Vasant Vihar, who netted five goals. The Best Goalkeeper (Girls) honour was claimed by Cia Puri of Modern School, Vasant Vihar and the Best Goalkeeper (Boys) award was secured by Aaryan Thapa of DPS Vasant Kunj, celebrating exceptional skill and consistency between the posts.
Principal, Ms. Aparna Magee, expressed her gratitude to the management for consistently organising the tournament and honouring the illustrious legacy of Maharaj Hari Singh. She also lauded the participants and staff for their spirited performance and dedication. The closing ceremony featured vibrant performances and concluded with the National Anthem, marking four days of outstanding talent, commitment and teamwork.
