Delhi Public School Sushant Lok, Gurugram proudly opened the legendary Maharaj Hari Singh Memorial Annual Football Tournament 5.0 on 10 December 2025, honouring a tradition of valour, excellence and youth leadership in sport. With 35+ teams from across India, the tournament stands as a powerful platform for emerging football talent and spirited competition.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the distinguished Maharaj Hari Singh family—Chief guest and founder patron DPS Sushant Lok, Shri. NK Singh ( IAS Retd.) , Smt. Kunwarani Prem Kumari Singh, Ms. Meenakshi Singh, PVC - DPS Sushant Lok , Ms. Madhvi Singh, and Baisa Savitri Kumari of Kunadi. Their presence added heritage, pride and dignity to the occasion.
Also in attendance were DPS Sushant Lok Principal, Ms Aparna Magee , celebrated football coach Mr. Jasmer Singh; Centre Head, Apple Blossom, Ms. Priyanka Tandon; and alumnus Mr. Utkrisht Kumra.
The ceremony featured a floral tribute to Maharaj Hari Singh of Jodhpur, a majestic Ceremonial March, an inspiring Principal’s Address, the rousing Football Anthem, energetic performances by Apple Blossom students, and the spectacular Drill – Harmony in Motion. A symbolic Balloon Release and a high-energy Inaugural Match marked a spirited start to the tournament.
The tournament opened with great excitement, featuring five energetic matches. DPS Dwarka Expressway, Tagore International School, Shalom Hills School, Modern School, and DPS Kota emerged victorious in their respective games against Sanskriti School, DPS Greater Faridabad, Scottish High, DPS Noida Sector 122, and Lotus Valley, setting a vibrant tone for the event.
