The Luminara Model United Nations 2025, held on 4th and 5th October at Delhi Public School Sushant Lok-Gurugram, brought together over 300 delegates from 26 schools for two days of vibrant dialogue, collaboration, and diplomacy. The conference commenced with the Gayatri Mantra and Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and positivity.
Principal Ms. Aparna Magee inspired the participants with her address on empathy, leadership, and global citizenship, encouraging young delegates to embrace responsibility, compassion, and courage in shaping the future. “True leadership is not about being in charge, but about taking care of those in your charge,” she reminded the students. She also lauded the students for their enthusiasm, discipline, and collaborative spirit, praising their ability to turn ideas into action.
Secretary-General Prateek Mehta officially declared the conference open, emphasizing the importance of leadership, cooperation, and dialogue in building a better world. The first day witnessed engaging deliberations and resolution drafting across committees, while the second day showcased impactful discussions and meaningful conclusions, reflecting the delegates’ understanding of global issues.
At the closing ceremony, the conference featured an inspiring audio message from DPS Sushant Lok’s Chief Patron, Shri N.K. The Executive Board and Secretariat were felicitated for their dedication in organizing and guiding the conference.
