The Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day on 12th August 2025 with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The school campus came alive with tricolour flags, balloons, and floral decorations, creating a festive ambience.
The programme commenced with the soulful rendition of patriotic songs in English and Hindi. Students from Classes I to V presented a colourful cultural programme, which included patriotic songs, energetic dances, and a thought-provoking skit highlighting the freedom struggle.
Young performers dressed as eminent freedom fighters—Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Laxmibai, and Subhash Chandra Bose—won hearts with their confidence and charm.
In her address, Principal Ms. Aparna Magee encouraged the students to cherish their freedom and contribute meaningfully towards nation-building. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ms. Ritikaa Malik. The day left everyone inspired, fostering a deep sense of pride, unity, and responsibility.
