Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok-Gurugram hosted the Maharaj Hari Singh Memorial Annual Football Tournament 4.0 from 27th to 30th January, with over twenty-six teams and four hundred and fifty players competing in a thrilling four-day event.
The closing ceremony was graced by Ms. Shreya Sharma, Chief Guest and star
player for India’s U-17 Women’s National Team. The ceremony was further honored by the presence of Ms. Meenakshi
Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Sushant Lok, DPS Kangra, DPS Kota, Tribhuvan School-Patna and Tribhuvan College
of Environment and Development Sciences, Neemrana along with Mr. Gautam Pathania, Director DPS Sushant Lok. The
Chief Guest inspired the students to chase their dreams with unwavering determination.
In the final matches, Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok triumphed in the Girls’
Category, with Shiv Nadar School finishing as first runner-up, while DPS Vasant Kunj claimed victory in the
Boys’ Category, and Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok secured the first runner-up position. Manya Gupta and Omik
of Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok received the Golden Boot Award, Shiven of DPS Vasant Kunj and Nishka Podar
of Modern School-Vasant Vihar were felicitated as the Outstanding Goalkeepers, Adita Gupta of DPS Kangra was
honored as the Best Emerging Star, Ishaan of DAV Sector 14 was named Most Valuable Player and Himanshu of SD Sr
Sec School was recognized as the Best Defender. Coaches and referees were also acknowledged for their commitment
to fair play.
The event concluded with the national anthem, a fitting close to an
extraordinary celebration of talent and sportsmanship. The tournament was a true reflection of teamwork,
dedication, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in sports.
