Many people see “hands-on science” as the only approach to teaching. Effective EVS and Science teaching requires educators to understand differences among various approaches of teaching and develop the ability to use one or the other approach appropriately. To address this, Think lab conducted a workshop to help teachers to make their classrooms more interactive and activity based. The activities related to Grade IV and V was demonstrated by the resource person Ms. Surbhi. Teachers too performed these hands on activities which were easy to handle, explain and replicate. It helped the teachers to expand their understanding of the power to communicate and teach science in an interesting way. Few kits for Thinklab activities were changed to suit the level of the students. In the end the effectiveness of the activities was discussed by the resource person and the teachers present.
