In observance of World Mental Health Day, Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurugram, prioritized emotional well-being through the "Strengths in my Roots" campaign. Students from 6th to 12th grades engaged in various meaningful activities. The "Value Tree" exercise prompted students to reflect on virtues like courage, empathy, diversity, and resilience, symbolizing them as pillars of strength on colored sheets. An interactive bulletin board with the prompt "What makes you smile?" provided an outlet for students to share their sources of happiness, fostering positivity and self-expression. A workshop led by Ms. Jasprit, focusing on "Ikigai," aimed to enhance teacher well-being. Meanwhile, the "Self-care and Reflection" workshop for 6th and 7th graders emphasized self-care and managing negative thoughts. Finally, "The Big Picture" project, a collaborative effort across grades, spotlighted diverse perspectives on mental health, reinforcing emotional resilience within our school community. These activities contributed significantly to nurturing emotional well-being, self-expression, and self-discovery among our students and educators.
