Ruddraksh Srivastava - A Maestro in the making

Ruddraksh Srivastava, a student of class II and the son of Pt. Manoj Srivastava (Teaching Instrumental Music) is a child prodigy whose expertise at playing  tabla since the age of  one has left many stalwarts in the field spellbound. He gave his first on stage performance at a tender age of 13 months in 2010 in Delhi for the annual performance of Performers’ collective. He has also given solo tabla performances in Mussourie; The Rail Museum Auditorium, Delhi; Allahabad High Court; Sri Ram School, Gurgaon; Iskon temple auditorium; Kalashram, an institute run by Pt. Birju Maharaj, to name a few. He also performed at the prestigious 54th Akhil Bhartiya Music and Dance Conference organized by Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, on 7th March, 2014. Ruddraksh has numerous to his credit as ‘Bal Gaurav’ Award given by Aasra Foundation, a special award at the “Ubharte Kalakaar” show organized by maharaj Darshan Das Charitable Trust and the ‘Sultanpur Gaurav Award” at ‘Bazme Mausiki’ held at Sultanpur, U.P. On the 2nd of March, 2013, Master Ruddraksh was felicitated by the Prayas International School, Balmer, Rajasthan. He has been recognized and acknowledged as a Wonder Kid by Zee News Wonder Kids show. His skill and talent has won him accolades not only from all over India but also got him listed in UK’s Genius Book of Records and International Wonder Book of Records, the certificates of which were awarded to him in January, 2016. The coming years will surely see Ruddraksh touch unprecedented heights.
