Grading System


  • Each assessment will be indicated in grades.
  • Students will be awarded grades on a 9 point scale as per the following scheme:
  • Marks Range Grade
    91-100 A1
    81-90 A2
    71-80 B1
    61-70 B2
    51-60 C1
    41-50 C2
    33-40 D
    21-32 E1
    00-20 E2

    Scheme Of Assessment(Classes IV-V)


    Keeping in view the CBSE recommended system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation, the session will be spread over two semesters:

  • Semester-1:April-September
  • Semester-1:April-September
  • Students will be evaluated through regular assessment of both Scholastic as well as Co-Scholastic areas.

    Part I:Co-Scholastic Areas include-

  • Life Skills
  • Attitudes and Values
  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Performance Grade
    Excellent A
    Very Good B
    Good C
    Average D
    Needs improvement E

    Part II: Scholastic Areas Include two formative assessments in each term.


  • Formative Assessment (FA) will be on the basis of Weekly Assessments (for schedule refer to page 26 of the Almanac) & Class Activities including Home Work, Class Work and maintenance of notebooks.
  • Summative Assessment (SA) will be a formal examination at the end of each term.
  • The pattern of assessment & weightage is given below:

  • First Semester: FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + SA1 (30%) = 50%
  • Second Semester: FA3 (10%) + FA4 (10%) + SA2 (30%) = 50%
  • Formative Assessment: FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + FA3 (10%) + FA4 (10%) = 40%
  • Summative Assessment: SA1 (30%) + SA2 (30%)= 60%
